Janice L.'s Story
Life
After graduating from Buena Park High School, I got my Bachelor of Music from Cal State Fullerton. I got married to Gerald Mueller and we moved to Ft. Collins, CO where we both got our masters degrees, mine a Master's of Music in Choral Conducting. Then we moved to Helena, MT where we lived and welcomed two children into our family, Jeromy and Kendra. In 1982 we divorced and I moved with the children to Deer Lodge, MT where I taught Jr/Sr high choral/general music for a couple of years. Then I got accepted to AZ State where I went to get my doctorate. I met Francis T. Hall (Tim) and we got married. Later I graduated and we moved to Indiana State where I taught for 13 years. both Idaho State and Utah state. Jeromy is married to Pam and they have a son and three daughters. Kendra has not married yet and lives away from home. I enjoy being a grandma. I worked as Director of Field Experiences in the Secondary Education dept at UT State. After retiring from UT State, I took a job as an elementary music teacher Pre-K thru 6th. I retired at the end of the 2016-17 school year. I did something in my career few teacher ever accomplish. I have professionally taught every grade from Pre-Kindergarten through doctoral level. Never set out to do that, it just happened. I've continued to sing, conduct choirs as often as I can and perform in community musicals. I'm also learning to golf. I enjoy family history and have one line traced back to 6 B.C. This is basically my life to date....
